In May 2007, Royal Caribbean expanded rapidly with the creation of Azamara Club Cruises as a subsidiary of Celebrity Cruises and launched it’s own luxury cruise line. Azamara up to this day is considered one of the best luxury cruise lines in the world, with different perks for their passengers. Although it’s considered a good value cruise line on the luxury market, the crew members from the cruise line doesn’t always see the company with the same values as their passengers. With three small ships, the company sails worldwide and features some really good ports where most of other ships do not fit due to their size.
In 2015, the Azamara Journey and the Azamara Quest were the ships used by television presenter and biologist Nigel Marven for his UKTV documentary and travel program Cruise Ship Adventures with Nigel Marven. The program highlighted wildlife areas at popular cruise destinations.
