The LES Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of audio, lighting and video systems in the secondary lounges including but not limited to sub lounges for all shows and activities scheduled in which can include variety shoes, live comedians, live bands, and more. The LES Technician will also function as an emergency backup for the Audio Technician or Video/Broadcast Technician and may from time to time be required to operate audio, lights or cameras in the production shows in the main theater. She/he is also responsible of cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all audio, lighting and ensuring the proper functioning of all systems in all venues around the vessel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
General knowledge of professional audio equipment operaion and maintenance procedures, digital and analog audio consoles operation, show control and time code distribution, be able to read and follow electrical and system drawings and diagrams, lighting console operations (GrandMa preferred), projectors and other A/V equipment.
Must be able to safely climb an A-frame ladder and properly operate a AWP in different heights up to 6 meters (20 feet).
Good overall health and physical condition, as on the job you will be required to life or move equipments up to 30kg (65 pounds).
RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATIONS
*Preferably with a Degree of: Electric, Electronics, Sound Technology and/or other technical fields.
*Preferably with the following Certifications: Pyramind Critical Listening, Signal Flow and Mixing, Harman University Crown DCI, Quickstart to AV Industry, Audio Design/Programming, Audinate Dante Certifications, Rational Acoustics SMAART Operator.
(*) Although not really required, these will significantly improve the candidate’s chances of being hired or promoted on board. These are just recommendations.
