Disney Cruise Line
In 1985, the now-defunct Premier Cruise Line became Disney’s licensed partner, integrating Disney characters into their cruise, hotel, and theme park packages. After severing ties with Disney in 1993, Premier collaborated with Warner Brothers. Disney sought replacement partnerships with Carnival and Royal Caribbean but failed. In 1994, Disney announced plans to launch its cruise line, starting operations in 1998.
The cruise line was initially named Devonson Cruise Company Limited in the UK before being renamed Magical Cruise Company Limited in 1996. In the same year, Disney acquired Gorda Cay, renaming it Castaway Cay, and later bought Lighthouse Point in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
Disney ships, designed for families, don’t have casinos and feature distinctive “Mickey horns” playing tunes like “When You Wish Upon a Star.” The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy include additional tunes like “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Star Wars Darth Vader theme.”

How to apply:
Like many cruise lines, Disney has its own application portal and does not rely on hiring agencies. Recruitment is focused on it’s own website with general hotel, maritime, and engine positions. Additionally, the company seeks specialized candidates for entertainment roles on LinkedIn.
We strongly recommend to apply straight with the company.
But what if the position I want isn’t currently available? Well, you have two options: either create an email alert to be notified when the job is posted, or apply through a recruitment agency.
