Oceania Cruises typically offers cruises that last between 10 and 14 days, but is also known for its long cruises lasting up to 195 days sailing worldwide! Founded in 2002, they initially chartered ships from the former company Renaissance Cruises to join their fleet, and in 2007 the company became public, having most of their shares bought by Apollo Management, that also bought all shares of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in which those two companies became to be know as Prestige Cruise Holdings.
In 2014, it was announced that Norwegian Cruise Line bought Prestige Cruise Holdings for 3.025 billion US dollars, but the companies only officially merged in 2017, forming the third biggest conglomerate, know as Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH).
