Job Description:
Following policies and procedures established by the SPA concessionaire and/or cruise line, and under the supervision of the Onboard Revenue Director, the SPA Manager ensures the smooth operation of the SPA, maintains high service standards, and manages SPA employees to meet retail and treatment sales targets set by the company while delivering excellent service. The SPA Manager also oversees team motivation, coaching, and performance monitoring, and manages day-to-day operations including administration, back office operations, inventory, basic accounting, and merchandise loading. Additionally, they coordinate with other onboard departments to organize revenue-generating SPA events.
Required skills:
Previous cruise ship experience in any other SPA position for at least five years is a general requirement. Excellent guest service and leadership skills to interact appropriately with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner are essential. A bachelor’s degree or similar education in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Hospitality, or any related field is recommended but not mandatory.
As mandated by many SPA concessionaires, candidates must not have any visible tattoos.
Recommended skills:
Proficient speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, and fluency in at least one of the following languages: German, French, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese.
