Job Description:
With a focus on standards, professionalism, and revenue, massage therapists are expected to exceed expectations by learning and developing deep tissue massage techniques. This includes incorporating their own personal massage movements with other advanced techniques to ensure that guests receive the ultimate personalized massage experience. Correct posture and body usage are also emphasized.
Additionally, massage therapists need to train in muscle detoxifying seaweed wraps, deep tissue massages, aroma stone therapy, and Swedish massage.
Required skills:
A Diploma in Swedish Massage (150 hours), including anatomy and physiology of the body, is absolutely necessary for this position. As part of the SPA team, applicants should be capable of marketing and selling products to meet quotas as instructed by the SPA Manager. Additionally, as mandated by many SPA concessionaires, applicants must not have any visible tattoos.
Recommended skills:
Any additional courses such as aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, Reiki, or remedial massage are beneficial and recommended. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required, along with an intermediate to fluent level in at least one of the following languages: German, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, or Chinese.
